Barsa Tapas

I’ve started a ladies’ night with some dear girlfriends of mine from church. We all met at Barsa Tapas on the corner of King St. and Line St. last night for dinner. A great time was had by all!

This was my second time there and I’ll have to say, this time was even better than the first! I really enjoyed it! Here’s what was on the table:

Appetizer we shared:

Chips and Salsa BUT a different take on it. Homemade chips with a plate laid out with slices of avocado, cilantro, caramelized onion and a tomato sorbet. It’s definitely different. Some of the ladies weren’t too fond of the sorbet, but some of us liked it. It was good.

Beverages:

White Sangria – big hit!

Other Appetizers:

Garlic mushrooms served over Crudités with goat cheese and arugula

Roasted Vegetables with Romesco Sauce

French Fries with Aioli

Croquettes

Smoked Shrimp

Meals:

Seafood Paella

Seared Blackened Grouper with local Pepper Risotto (my dish)

We had a great time and are looking forward to next month! We should have taken a picture! That was Nicole’s idea that no one followed through on. L
